Role overview:
Stores Marketing - Digital innovation Program Manager
London
Currys London Campus at Waterloo
Permanent
Full Time
Grade 4
At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.
You'll sit within the Stores GTM function, reporting to the Head of Stores GTM. We set the marketing standard for how Currys looks, feels and performs in store – from showcase and demo programmes to digital in-store content and supplier brand partnerships. We're a team with genuine creative ambition and commercial discipline, and we take real pride in making Currys stores a brilliant place to shop.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Owning end-to-end execution:
• Ensure plans are on-brief, high quality, and aligned to business objectives. Challenge thinking constructively and deliver accurate, engaging in-store campaigns. Own the critical path: Stay organised, connect the dots, and keep the plan on track — course-correcting and managing stakeholders when issues arise. Own the metrics: Be clear on what we're driving (RFT, colleague/customer engagement, sales, ROI) and manage target-setting and reporting with stakeholders
Building a brand that creates customers for life:
• Shape customer perceptions and win hearts and minds by reinforcing our rational and emotional USPs. Use innovation, technology, and digital to deliver a seamless retail-to-online experience and long-term ROI
Being a technology expert:
• Build strong working relationships with IT, Online Development, and Technology to stay ahead of key initiatives and ensure retail marketing is embedded in omnichannel ways of working and customer solutions
Making things easy for customers:
• Deliver best-in-class service to both external and internal customers by simplifying processes and execution.
Driving continuous improvement:
• Hold suppliers accountable for delivering in-store content to new and existing fixtures in line with SLAs. Understand how CMS systems capture data to continually improve the customer experience
• Delivering best-in-class digital retail marketing solutions and content across the omni-channel and marketing functions, creating innovative shopping experiences for our customers
• Leading the transformation and growth of category execution in store by building theatre (driving footfall), engaging customer journeys (increasing engagement), and compelling calls to action (improving conversion) — working with GTM leads, marketing channels, online, and category squads
You will need:
• People Leadership: Envision, Engage, Empower and Energies groups of people to deliver excellent results
• Thinking Leadership / Innovation: Take us to new places. Pioneer innovative new approaches to how we do things.
• Programme Management experience: We don’t need people who formally are programme managers by trade – but we do need people who are able to run a multi-functional group through a interdependent timing plan
• Problem solving skills: It’s part of people / thinking leadership – but we need this role to be a brilliant problem solver
• To be able to Collaborate effectively: This role will be a team player. It will need to practice excellent active listening skills and work closely with all sorts of specialists to deliver a brilliant end to end plan
• Attention to detail: This role needs a real keen eye for detail. There is a need for ability to interrogate briefs to ensure all detail required is obtained as well as the ability to write clear, insightful, and motivating briefs
• Experience in a retail / brand role / Tech role
• Understanding of CMS systems and retail technology
• A real passion and understanding for tech and digital communication
• Project management experience
