Working at Currys:

Will I have to wear a uniform?

+

Most of our customer facing teams are required to wear a uniform. Don’t worry, if you’ll need to wear a uniform we’ll provide you with your uniform when start.

How often will I get paid?

+

We pay our colleagues every 4 weeks. This means you’ll have 13 pay dates each calendar year.

Will there be training opportunities for me?

+

Absolutely, we’re passionate about upskilling our colleagues and helping them progress their career. Each area of our business areas has a dedicated training team. If you come and visit us for interview our team will be able to talk to you about how colleague learn and progress within Currys.

What's the minimum age requirement for a job at Currys?

This will vary from depending on the role. Some roles accept applicants aged 16 and over, however you may require extra training and risk assessments.

How do I set up a Job Alert?

Visit our Search and Apply page and complete a search for the criteria you want to create an alert for. Once the search results appear, you'll see a 'Create Alert' link above the search results. Simply click this, create or sign in to your account and then alert will be set up.

Do Currys provide sponsorship?

+

We only sponsor a limited number of roles against certain criteria which includes role eligibility, salary banding, business area and business need. As part of the application process, you'll be able to tell us what your sponsorship requirements may be.

Do Currys offer work experience?

We have no central work placement programme partnership in place, so any placements will need to be set up with the store or business area of interest. We're unable to provide contact details, so please visit your place of interest directly.

How do I apply for a job at Currys?

All our current vacancies are advertised on this site, simply visit the ‘Search & Apply’ page to take a look. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept CV's directly. If there isn’t a vacancy right now that suits you, you can still register your interest with us and set up job alerts so that you're notified of new vacancies when they become available.

How will I know that my application has been received?

Shortly after you've made your application, you'll receive an email from us confirming receipt with more information. Check your junk mail just in case.

Is there a limit on how many jobs I can apply for?

+

No - you can apply for other vacancies that are available, but can only apply once to an individual vacancy.

I used to work for Currys - Can I reapply?

+

It’s always good to hear that ex-colleagues want to return to work for us and you’re more than welcome to apply for a role. Ex-employees can re-apply for roles with Currys, reasons for leaving may be considered as part of any application process.

I can't see a role advertised for a store near me, how do I apply?

If there isn’t a vacancy right now that suits you, you can still register your interest with us and set up job alerts so that you're notified of new vacancies when they become available.


Our application process - Retail colleague online assessments:

How will I know if I have to complete an online assessment for a retail sales colleague role?

+

You'll receive an email from us shortly after applying with a link to complete the assessment. Please check your junk mail just in case.

How do I complete the online assessment for a retail sales colleague position?

+

Your account will be created directly from the Currys system and you'll be sent a pre-authenticated link, which you can find on your email invitation.

I have an issue with the online assessment - who can I contact?

+

If the pre-authenticated link is sending you to a login or blank screen it's likely that a cached session is persisting on your browser. Please delete temporary internet files and cookies from your browser before retrying the link provided in your invitation. Simultaneously pressing Ctrl + Shift + Delete keys will open the required screen on your browser. Please ensure you're using our supported browsers below:

Android - latest version of Chrome

Can I retake the online assessment if I fail?

Unfortunately, once the assessment has been completed it cannot be re-taken.

How do I update my application details if I got this wrong?

You're able to update your application details by logging into your Currys candidate account, simply click the View Profile link at the top of this page.

I want to withdraw my application - how do I do this?

+

You're able to withdraw your application by logging into your Currys candidate account. Once you’ve logged in visit the ‘Job Application’ tab and select the button ‘Withdraw Application’.

I missed a call about a job with Currys and need a call back - who do I contact?

+

Please email people.place@currys.co.uk and we'll be able to support you with your query.

I can no longer attend an interview that's been scheduled - who can I contact?

+

Please contact either the hiring manager or recruiter who you would have previously been in touch with. If neither have been involved, please email People.Place@Currys.co.uk with your full name, vacancy ID and interview details.

What support is available for candidates with disabilities during the recruitment process?

As an active member of the Business Disability Forum, we'll ask you whether you need any reasonable adjustments when we invite you to take part in a recruitment process for any role - you'll just need to let us know when prompted to do so. We have a Workplace Adjustments Policy which covers all Currys employees and our recruitment process.

What support is available for candidates who require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process?
