Everyone's

Inclusion and Diversity at Currys.

At Currys, we deeply value the strength that comes from our diverse workforce. We embrace the richness of different backgrounds, experiences, ethnicities, sexualities, and genders, and are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong. Our managers and our Leadership Inclusion Forum Champions actively shape and drive our inclusion and diversity initiatives, meeting regularly to discuss tangible actions and promote meaningful progress

Embracing our diversity.

  • We believe in creating a space where every voice is heard and valued. We actively encourage our colleagues to participate in meaningful conversations about topics that are important to them and to expand their understanding of diversity.

Throughout the year, we celebrate our diverse community through events like Black History Month, National Inclusion Week, and International Women's Day. Our employee-led networks, such as Pride at Currys, the Women's Network, Disability at Currys, and Embrace Network, are instrumental in nurturing an inclusive and supportive workplace for everyone.

Supporting our customers.

  • We're proud to be strong supporters of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative. As part of our commitment to inclusivity, we've introduced a 'Quiet Hour' in all our stores every day. During this time, we lower noise levels, dim the lighting, and ensure there are no flashing screens to create a more tranquil and supportive environment for our neurodiverse customers.

Supporting our colleagues.

In collaboration with our National Forum colleagues across the UK, we have developed new policies to ensure everyone feels they belong here. These include IVF Support, Premature Birth Support, Pregnancy Loss Support, Gender Reassignment Support, Menopause Support, and Workplace Adjustments..

We have a range of Employee Resource Groups run by colleagues, for colleagues:

  • Pride at Currys.

Our LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG) provides a community for colleagues who identify as LGBTQ+ and their allies. It offers a safe space for socialising, educating, and networking across the business, and engages in internal policy and systems reviews.

  • Women's Network.

Our mission is to Connect, Inspire, and Empower our female colleagues, with the support of male allies. This network offers a safe space for women to share experiences, ideas, and seek support, fostering informal mentorship, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

  • Disability at Currys.

Disability at Currys is an employee-led volunteer network helping to raise awareness and inclusivity for everyone. We're a community for colleagues that are a part of the disabled community or are allies for the disabled community.

  • Embrace Network.

Our Race at Work ERG aims to drive a workplace culture that goes beyond tolerance, celebrating our differences as part of our DNA. The network is open to everyone interested in building a community that breaks down barriers and cultivates an environment where each member feels heard, valued, and empowere

Gender Pay Gap.

We recognise the importance of addressing the gender pay gap. Since the 2018 legislation requiring employers to publish their Gender Pay Gap, we have been committed to closing it further. Our pay gap is significantly below the national average, but we strive for continuous improvement. Our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy includes reviewing and updating how we attract, recruit, and develop our people.

You can view our latest Gender Pay Gap report here.

Our Partners.

Partnering with external organisations helps us measure our diversity and inclusivity, providing access to expert advice and resources. These partnerships allow us to learn from the best practices of other organisations and continually improve our own.
