The Digital Analytics Developer sits within the Currys Digital Data Team, playing a key role in building and maintaining the digital data infrastructure that powers eCommerce reporting, insights and analytics. This enables teams to understand customer behaviour, improve digital performance and enhance the online customer experience in line with Currys’ strategic priorities.

 

You will be responsible for delivering accurate, scalable and privacy-compliant digital tracking across web and mobile platforms. Working closely with developers, product teams, analysts and external partners, you will translate business requirements into robust technical tracking solutions and ensure high-quality data is consistently delivered through sprint-based development cycles.
This is a high-impact role at the centre of our digital ecosystem, ensuring that first-party data is effectively captured, structured and leveraged to support insight generation, optimisation and future data capability development.

 

Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

 

  •  Own and maintain digital tracking infrastructure across web and mobile platforms, including Google Tag Manager (GTM), GA4, Adobe Launch and Adobe Analytics, ensuring accurate, scalable   and compliant data collection.
  •  Partner with Developers, Product, UX and Marketing teams to translate business requirements into clear technical tracking specifications and ensure robust implementation across all digital   journeys.
  •  Lead mobile and web analytics tracking using GA4 and Firebase, ensuring consistent end-to-end customer journey measurement across all digital touchpoints.
  •  Conduct regular data audits, QA testing and debugging to ensure data integrity, GDPR compliance and adherence to defined tracking standards and governance frameworks.
  •  Develop and maintain technical documentation, data layer specifications and governance standards to ensure consistency across multiple brands and digital properties.
  •  Support the design and development of digital data solutions, including data pipelines, integrations and transformation processes to enable effective analysis and reporting.
  •  Manage and resolve digital data incidents, ensuring timely communication of issues, root cause analysis and resolution actions.
  •  Identify and support opportunities to enhance digital data capability, including server-side tracking, API integrations, and improved use of first-party data across the organisation.

 

 

You will need:

 

  •  Strong hands-on experience with digital analytics tools including GTM, GA4, Adobe Launch and Adobe Analytics, with mobile analytics experience using Firebase highly desirable.
  •  Solid understanding of digital tracking frameworks, data layers, tagging implementation and end-to-end customer journey measurement.
  •  Experience working with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, UX and Marketing,as well as External agency partners with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear,   actionable outputs.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to data quality, QA testing and troubleshooting.
  •  Experience using SQL and/or Python for data extraction, automation or analysis (including APIs desirable).
  •  Understanding of cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, with exposure to data warehousing concepts beneficial.
  •  Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  •  Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

 

Qualifications

 

  •  Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
