As a Home Delivery Workforce Planning FLM, you will lead and develop the Resource Planning team, ensuring effective forecasting, capacity planning and resource management across all Customer Service Centres (CSCs). You will provide divisional and operational leaders with clear insight into current and future resource requirements, ensuring robust plans are in place to meet customer commitments while balancing productivity, service and cost.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of WFM Planners, ensuring effective workforce planning, forecasting and scheduling processes are delivered across all CSCs and aligned to business objectives.
- Provide operational and divisional leaders with clear resource forecasts, workforce plans and performance insights, ensuring sufficient capacity is available to meet customer demand and operational requirements.
- Drive the implementation and ongoing management of One Best Way workforce planning processes, supporting operational teams in adopting new ways of working and maintaining high standards of compliance.
- Monitor workforce performance, resource utilisation and operational efficiency, identifying risks, opportunities and improvement actions to optimise service, productivity and cost.
- Work cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements, share best practice, leverage workforce planning tools and explore external market insights to support future strategy.
- Produce high-quality analysis, reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, translating complex data into clear recommendations and actionable plans.

You will need:
- Experience within a workforce planning, resource optimisation or operational planning environment
- Recent experience of leading teams and delivering efficiency improvements
- Strong understanding of workforce planning principles, forecasting, capacity planning and operational performance management within a customer-focused environment.
- Proven experience partnering with CSC, Operations or senior business leaders, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and provide meaningful recommendations.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create high-quality PowerPoint presentations and simplify complex information for a range of audiences.
- Commercially and financially aware, with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of workforce planning tools and best practices, with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering operational excellence.
- Ideally degree qualified or able to demonstrate significant workforce planning and resource management experience.
