Step into a high-visibility, hands-on role at the heart of Currys’ health and safety operations as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor and you’ll lead best practice across our Newark Campus and In-Home Repair teams. You’ll develop clear guidance, lead audits, investigate incidents, and embed a genuine culture of health and safety.

Working closely with the Senior Health and Safety Manager and operational leaders, you’ll bring strong technical expertise alongside the confidence to challenge, influence, and drive continuous improvement. If you’re passionate about making a real impact and shaping safer ways of working at scale, this is your opportunity to stand out.

Role overview:

  • Championing Health and Safety best practice across Currys’ Campus and In-Home Repair operations.
  • Developing and maintaining HSE procedures that protect colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
  • Leading planned safety inspections and HSE audits — and making sure actions get closed out.
  • Facilitating Safety Action team meetings, focusing on reducing high-risk tasks
  • Ensuring full statutory compliance: Risk Assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, DSE, and more.
  • Investigating all incidents thoroughly, completing root cause analysis, and assigning preventive actions.
  • Supporting improvements to dangerous goods and lithium battery policy and practice.
  • Preparing data-driven analysis reports to inform safety meetings and decisions.

You will need:

  • Strong working knowledge of H&S policy, legislation, and practical compliance.
  • To be a confident communicator who can engage, influence, and build trust at all levels.
  • Experience in distribution, retail, or repair environments.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, support colleagues, and resolve escalated issues calmly.
  • A genuine passion for health and safety — and the drive to embed it across a team.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).

It would be great if you had:

  • NEBOSH Diploma — or actively working towards one.
  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training.
  • Environmental qualifications.
  • Dangerous Goods / DSEAR / WEEE knowledge.
