The Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the negotiation, management and optimisation of iD Mobile’s commercial contracts. This role plays a critical part in shaping commercial strategy, mitigating risk, and driving sustainable value for iD Mobile’s customer and commercial outcomes. You will lead cross-functional engagement with Legal, Procurement, Customer, Marketing, Online, Trading, Operations and external partners to ensure all commercial arrangements support iD’s strategic priorities.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Lead the development of commercial contracting strategies to maximise customer and commercial value while effectively managing risk
- Own and lead negotiations with third-party suppliers and partners on new and existing commercial agreements
- Provide strategic commercial insight and challenge business proposals to ensure alignment with iD Mobile’s financial and strategic objectives
- Own and ensure adherence to all contract governance processes, including Delegation of Authority and internal approvals
- Lead the creation and presentation of business cases to secure approval for commercial initiatives
- Provide oversight of contract performance, including compliance monitoring, issue escalation and resolution
- Act as the commercial lead for cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Identify opportunities for commercial improvement and drive continuous optimisation across the contract lifecycle.
You will need:
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in contract ownership and negotiation
- Highly analytical with experience shaping commercial recommendations
- Strong understanding of legal frameworks, regulatory requirements and risk management
- Proven ability to influence at senior levels and manage complex stakeholder environments
- Demonstrable leadership capability, including coaching and supporting junior team members
- Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
- Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused, with a drive to deliver continuous improvement
- Telecoms or MVNO experience is desirable
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field
- Advanced user of Microsoft applications
