Outsource Operations at Currys is looking for a passionate and proactive individual to step into the Carrier Management Specialist position that offers real opportunities to drive change, engage with key stakeholders across the business, and make a tangible difference to both customers and costs. 

 

Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

 

 

  • Gather and Analyse Data: Collect data from internal and external sources to measure the customer and cost impact of Lost in Transit and Failed Collections. 
  • Provide Recommendations: Use your findings to propose actionable improvements that benefit both the customer and the business. 
  • Generate New Insights: Explore innovative ways to use existing data or develop new insights that better reflect the customer experience. 
  • Support Operational Reporting: Assist the Outsource Operations Manager with preparing and maintaining key departmental reports. 
  • Challenge Carrier Discrepancies: Work on reclaiming costs from carriers when parcels are lost or collections fail, ensuring we protect our customers and bottom line. 
  • Strengthen Relationships: Help govern and enhance partnerships with carriers and 3PL providers by refining processes and driving efficiency. 

 

 

 

You will need:

 

 

  • Proven Experience in Administration: Recent experience in an administrative role, ideally supporting operational or supplier management functions with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and internal systems  
  • Strong Analytical Abilities: A track record of gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to drive decision-making. 
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Confident using spreadsheets and other tools to create reports, analyse trends, and manage data. 
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy in handling data, reporting, and identifying discrepancies. 
  • Effective Communication Skills: Experience presenting findings and recommendations to different stakeholders at all levels in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying issues and providing innovative, data-backed solutions. 
  • Organisational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards. 
  • Customer-Focused Thinking: A commitment to enhancing the customer journey while driving cost efficiencies. 
  • Formal qualification (desirable) in Administration and Analytics, or relevant demonstrable experience.
