You’ll be part of the Stores Transformation team more specifically the Stores Space Planning team which who work closely with the our Commercial Buying and retail stores to ensure we have the range and space allocations within stores to meet the needs of our customers and delivering optimised profitability. In this role you will be working cross functionally to lead the development and delivery of new commercial space and range systems and processes that sit across the stores and commercial teams. You’ll work closely with the IT Delivery Lead, Business Change, and third-party partners to implement change.

Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Being the business owner for the implementation of new store space & range planning systems.
  • Providing expert oversight and input into the development of the new system and processes.
  • Acting as the business SME for the implementation of new Blue Yonder store space & range planning systems and integration of these across both stores and commercial teams.
  • Leading the project team and other business area end user SMEs. Ensuring the appropriate level of engagement and input to deliver the best outcome for currys.
  • Partnering with the Project Delivery Manager (PM), Business Analyst, and Business Change lead to identify the recommended approach for the application of new systems, the impact to processes and making recommendations back to the Project Programme Board and Steering Groups.
  • Working with the Project Delivery Manager you will ensure project remains on-track to delivery to the agreed timelines and budget (£+1m). You’ll input into the governance process to ensure accurate project reporting.

 

 

You will need:

  • 3+ years hands on experience with commercial retail range and space planning systems. More specifically experience of Store Space Planning and Commercial Merchandise Assortment planning systems and processes.
  • Experience working within stores space, range merchandising or buying roles.
  • Project management experience and good organisational skills.
  • Experience delivering retail change, ideally implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Essential - Proficiency in Blue Yonder Stores Floor Planning and Merchandise Assortment Planning software.
  • Essential - Experience in using Blue Yonder products ideally within hardline products or non-food retailers.
