As the Senior Partnerships Manager - New Business, your role will be to unlock and scale new revenue streams for the business through strategic relationships. You will act as an entrepreneur within the New Business Squad identifying and building new partnership opportunities and relationships to leverage our scale and capabilities to maximise new value.  Partnerships will include 3rd party fully serviced partners, marketplace partners and channel concession partners.

 

Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

The role consists of 3 primary elements balancing between commercial negotiation, cross functional operations and account management.

 

  • Building new growth opportunities - negotiating commercial agreements and nurturing partnerships to deliver budgets through effective account management.
  • Leading the cross functional teams - to ensure a full collaboration that identifies operational E2E requirements to successfully launch the partner into Currys.
  •  SME lead - within 3rd party partnership projects responsible for business casing, building the propositions and opportunities.

 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Building & Delivering our New Business Partnership strategy: develop and execute the strategy for a comprehensive 3YP New Commercial Sales partnerships that leverages our capabilities.
  • Secure Strategic Partnerships: leverage our brand reputation and current capabilities to identify, pitch, and secure high-value partnerships with non-conflicting brands that complement and accelerate Currys presence in new, emerging, low market share categories.
  • Lead the E2E Cross functional Collaboration: working closely with the New Business Operations & GTM team, create a team that has a strong growth mindset and driven to find solutions to deliver a high performing initiative.
  • Own Commercial P&L and Revenue Targets:  for these new business partnerships, setting ambitious revenue targets and defining pricing strategies, rate cards, and margin expectations.
  • Deliver Measurement and Proof of Performance: work with our finance, channels, data and insight teams to build reporting capability that proves to Currys and partners that this investment is creating value for all parties. 

 

You will work across a wide range of teams and build strong relationships that make these new ventures possible.

 

 

You will need:

 

  • A proven track record in Commercial performance delivering above budgets and targets within a retail or consumer-facing environment
  • Experience of successful negotiation with complex commercial deals, including partnership agreements
  • A naturally curious mind to explore unchartered opportunities partnered with exceptional commercial acumen
  • Good understanding of future customer trends and impact on the electricals market
  • Exceptional collaboration skills teamed with influencing skills to manage stakeholders
  • Strong project & communication skills to work cross functionally and ensure accountability is clear and
  • Growth & innovative mindset
  • Business casing experience
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent in relevant field
  • Strong interest in AI capability and how it can improve ways of working.
