This exciting role within the commercial team reports to the Head of Category; you will be accountable for delivering a specific initiative to create a new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) brand and taking it to market. This role will also be responsible for developing and building the overarching Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) Go to Market Strategy & Plan.
This is a key role to bring functional representatives together in the squad, uniting annual, quarterly and in-season initiatives and activities to maximise performance. The role will also support the category buyers to negotiate adequate supplier funding.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Responsible for creating and develop a new OEM brand working closely with the Senior Buyer (OEM), brand and customer insight teams
- Creating secure funding, sign off & delivering a strong plan to launch the new brand to market
- Deliver initiatives through necessary approvals & forums
- Delivering an ongoing promotional & marketing plan to ensure continue strong performance of OEM and optimum level of visibility to deliver category plans
- Reviewing sales performance daily, weekly, monthly and suggest actions to course correct
- Writing any marketing briefs required for OEM range & campaigns
- Working with the central planning, brand & marketing function to develop the ‘Go to market’ strategy and plan for the category
- Defining the major initiatives to enhance the SDA customer proposition, gain market share and deliver the commercial plan
- Ensuring clear ownership and accountability across the SDA GTM team to deliver each of the events & initiatives.
- Leading and developing the go to market team to create a culture of collaborative working, rounded thinking and support.
- Supporting the GTM team to landing all major initiatives, including major new product launches, new merchandising solutions, and changes to the customer journey online and in-store.
- Building close relationships with selected key global and provide an escalation point
- Co-ordinating the responses to major marketing briefs across the category in appropriate templates
- Delivering great customer experiences in all channels
- Providing and reviewing team members’ objectives, priorities and performance via personal development review and one to tones to supporting their professional and personal development.
You will need:
- Strong influencing skills and ability to manage several different stakeholders, at all levels, to deliver plans
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations to drive sales, profit and cash
- Advanced planning, organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting to team forums as well as working cross functionally to achieve the desired results
- Customer champion with excellent commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs
- Good working knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as MS Office workflow tools
- Extensive experience of working to deadlines and managing critical paths
