The purpose of this role is to support planning and execution of omnichannel trading and merchandising initiatives helping our customers enjoy amazing technology and driving profitable growth. You will work closely with key business functions including ecommerce, commercial, marketing and retail teams.
In your day-to-day role you will be supporting the online merchandisers and trading managers in their respective areas through merchandising the Currys/CPW website.
Role overview:
- Accountable for merchandising for product area of responsibility eg. Appliances, CE etc. and driving performance for said category through understanding trading performance.
- Accountability for ‘right first time’ promotional set up.
- Managing online executions for promotions and campaigns, working closely with relevant teams to deliver on point merchandising.
- Optimising attach recommendations to enhance sold with strategy.
- Understanding pain points in the journey using analytics tools (eg. Adobe, content square) and recommending/implementing changes.
- Establish a philosophy of continuous improvement through all areas, demonstrable through meaningful metrics reported weekly and periodically.
- Managing search tool optimisation, utilising reporting on search terms to identify and fix search results.
- Managing navigation, PLP sorting rules, Einstein recommendations and creating and implementing a plan to optimize these using SFCC A/B testing capability.
- Using on-site analytics and feedback performance analysis if required. Responsible for ensuring that product merchandising standards are met across teams and surpassing agreed benchmarks.
- Managing ad hoc requests and projects that may arise as part of strategic work e.g. Refurbished PoC, new functionality implementation.
Experience Recquired:
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with good attention to detail to ensure line level accuracy
- Good level of commercial acumen
- Creative approach to problem solving
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations/actions plans to drive sales, profit and cash
- Ability to build relationships and be a team player
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, capable of presenting to team forums as well as working cross functionally to achieve the desired results
- Must be a driven individual who can demonstrate strong tenacity and resilience
- Experience using Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Amplience desirable
