We’re looking for an experienced and driven Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join our Health and Safety Leadership Team. This is a key role focused on enhancing and embedding consistent health, safety, and environmental practices across the organisation.

 

You’ll lead a team of three and play an active part in delivering strategic initiatives, systems, and processes that support a safe and sustainable working environment. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across our offices and contact centres, offering the opportunity to influence and support a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety.

Role overview:

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Managing the health and safety data systems to deliver accurate, real-time metrics and dashboard insights that support business reporting and decision-making.
  • Supporting the implementation of strategic health and safety plans across office and contact centre locations, encouraging continuous improvement in workplace safety.
  • Contributing to the development and definition of health and safety standards that reflect the needs of diverse working environments.
  • Assisting in the governance process by monitoring legislative and business changes and updating internal standards accordingly.
  • Creating, auditing, and reviewing health and safety policies, procedures, and working practices to ensure they remain effective and inclusive.
  • Promoting consistency and reducing risk through regular audits and process reviews.

 

You will need:

 

  • A degree or a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
  • A strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience in a health and safety role, ideally within a fast-paced or FMCG environment.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style.
  • Confidence in using IT systems and tools, including platforms such as SharePoint and Power BI.
  • A full UK driving licence, as occasional travel between sites may be required.

It would be great if you had:

 

  • Experience working in corporate office and contact centre environments, with an understanding of the unique health and safety considerations in these settings.
