You will lead the design, development, and creation of our stores communication strategy. Working in partnership with relevant business area's you will be responsible for the governance, structure and methodology behind our comms, always ensuring our colleague is considered the customer.
With a focus on transformation, you will lead a programme for store communications strategy and tools development working with wider communications teams and programme delivery teams. You will have an eye for efficiency and a desire to automate and simplify wherever possible whilst not compromising the outputs for our colleagues.
You will also lead on planning and execution of effective colleague communication campaigns. Key to delivery of this role is the measurement of our colleague experience and reporting on business performance associated plus recommendations for the future with a continuous improvement mindset.
You will also lead initiatives to put colleague experience at the heart of our decision making, increasing the visibility of our colleague voice to influence all parts of the business to support our customers better. It will be key to build and implement consistency frameworks & tools that are embedded within the fabric of stores to achieve optimization. You will also support the inspiration of store teams to deliver a culture of colleague experience excellence leading projects that provide ways to engage, excite and educate our customers.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Be a comms expert - you'll need to engage and excite a wide audience of store colleagues and central resource. You will be responsible for the control, schedule and assignment of all stores facing comms. Building a comms strategy, looking at ways of working, challenging the current and developing the new.
- Have a proven mindset and skills in transformation and project management in order to be able to deliver a transformation comms strategy and tools for the stores.
- Excellent leadership and line management - Manage a fast paced and agile team plan and development whilst being able to manage your own projects and wider business comms strategy.
- Own, manage and develop our colleague engagement and incentive platform and tools.
- Business education and control - Be a team champion and provide for the wider business the same level off education, excitement, and education on our stores comms channels.
- Stakeholder management - act as business partner to our wider comms channels, commercial squads, and marketing function to ensure consistency and guidance on communications to our stores and colleagues.
- Define a deliberate Colleague experience manifesto and commitments to provide a framework to deliver and measure against.
- Actively seek and identify obstacles and challenges to delivering our colleagues a best in class experience, reporting on our ESAT metrics and supporting the Stores team to improve our colleague experience, providing expertise, skill and solution based thinking to develop resolutions that will overcome these obstacles to deliver improving results.
You will need:
- People Leadership - Envision, engage, empower and energise your team. Upskill & invest in the capability and confidence of your team to develop and perform at the highest level through coaching, support and development to deliver objectives, performance and achieve progression. Own the vision for the shopper journey to deliver a best-in-class experience, taking into consideration insight, trends, and market feedback.
- Provide thought leadership on how we communicate. Continually leading the way for positive transformation and open communication across the stores Project and change Management: we need people who are able to run a multi-functional groups through an interdependent timing plan. You'll need strong project management and change management skills to deliver in this role.
- Problem solving: It's part of people / thinking leadership - but we need this role to be a brilliant problem solver.
They must be able to help groups of people properly understand the problems they face, look at a variety of innovative solutions and then settle on the right one, convincing the necessary stakeholders of whatever that solution may be. - Collaboration: This role will be a team player. It will need to practise excellent active listening skills and work closely with all sorts of specialists to deliver brilliant end to end plan for all colleague interactions - often stepping outside of the formal role description described in this document - but without going too far to lose focus on what we're here for.
- Resilience and positivity - be able to adapt in challenging times, be understanding our our colleagues need and sentiments and adapt styles accordingly.
- 3-5 years' Experience in a colleague engagement or communications role.
- Excellent Understanding of communication tools particually Microsoft tools and a keen interest in Al and future communicate option.
- Good knowledge of Creative applications such as photoshop, acrobat pro and Powerpoint.
