Role overview:

CCM Propositions Lead
Waterloo - Hybrid Working
Full Time
Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)
Grade 5

At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

We are building Currys Connected Media into a market-leading commerce media business. To accelerate this ambition, we are seeking an Interim Propositions Lead to conduct a rigorous audit of our current media offerings to help us understand the opportunity to grow from where we are today to where a mature, best-in-class commerce media operation should be.

Role overview:

You will assess our commerce media propositions through three critical lenses:

  1. Current State – What do we offer today across our physical and digital estate?
  2. Supplier Expectations – What do our brands and agencies actually need and value?
  3. Maturity Benchmark – What do the propositions of a world-class commerce media business look like, and where do we have opportunity to improve?

Your output will be a comprehensive and actionable proposition audit and gap analysis

Key Responsibilities

Proposition Audit & Inventory

  • Map the inventory of media propositions across in-store (screens, POS, experiential), digital (onsite, app, CRM), and emerging channels (delivery, packaging, receipts).
  • Document propositions’ specifications, pricing, uptake, and commercial performance.

Supplier & Agency Discovery

  • Conduct interviews and workshops with key brand partners, media agencies, and internal commercial teams to understand expectations, pain points, and unmet needs.
  • Benchmark Currys against competitor and best-in-class retailer media networks to understand where supplier spend is flowing and why – including US retailers.
  • Work with our customer data and AI technology teams to understand the art of the possible in terms of our audience data and measurement capabilities.

Maturity Assessment & Scoring Framework

  • Develop a proposition scoring framework that evaluates each offering against critical commerce media attributes, including:
o Insights-led: Is the proposition underpinned by customer or market insights?
o First-party targeting: Does it leverage Currys' first-party audience data?
o Closed-loop measurement: Can we prove sales impact and ROAS?
o Scalability: Can the proposition scale across brands and categories?
o Ease of execution: How complex is delivery for Currys and the advertiser?
o Incrementality: Does it add genuine value or risk cannibalising existing terms?
o Positioning: Does it command a premium versus open-market alternatives?
  • Score current propositions against this framework and identify priority gaps.

You Will Need

  • Significant experience in commerce/retail media, digital advertising, or media strategy—ideally within a retailer, publisher, or agency environment.
  • A track record of auditing, developing, or launching media propositions in a B2B context.
  • Strong understanding of the commerce media ecosystem: what advertisers buy, how they measure success, and what differentiates winning propositions.
  • Familiarity with retail media measurement approaches (MMM, incrementality testing, closed-loop attribution) and first-party data strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear frameworks and actionable recommendations.
  • Confident stakeholder management—you'll need to extract insights from busy commercial teams and present challenging findings to senior leaders.
A bias for action and comfort with ambiguity; this is a build-phase role, not a maintenance role.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of commerce media at one of the UK's most recognised retail brands. If you thrive on strategic diagnosis, have a passion for media innovation, and want to leave a lasting mark on a business in transformation, get in touch.
