This is a Senior Project managers role, leading the delivery of transformational projects within iD Mobile at Currys.

 

iD Mobile is underway with series of transformation projects across mobile. The role of the Senior Project manager is a key enabler to this transformation. You will have responsibility for end to end delivery of initiatives in the Programme from definition through to successful completion. 

 

The Senior PM with lead the delivery of medium to large sized business critical projects and work in partnership with senior business stakholders, vendors, system integrators and user groups throughout the full lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery using a mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

 

Role overview:

 

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • The management of and successful execution of large, high-profile technology projects that span across multiple business units and areas
  • Working in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders within the business to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of project outcomes
  • Leading multiple complex cross-functional change into the organisation through the application of ‘best in class’ project, programme and change management
  • Developing high performing project teams with good knowledge management
  • Establishing and sustaining an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across their projects
  • Owning key project deliverables (such as the plan and budget) across the project lifecycle and apply appropriate methodologies to support the achievement of wider project aims
  • Ensuring that realistic and accurate estimates of costs, timescales, quality and resource requirements are agreed and proactively manages any deviations through to project closure
  • Development of project business case and benefits realisation, monitoring and ensuring they are aligned with change team objectives

 

You will need:

  • 5+ years of project or programme management within a comparable organisation or via a consulting firm
  • Strong commerce / Telco implementation experience is desirable
  • Expert knowledge and experience of relevant project management methodologies, development life cycles e.g. Waterfall, Agile and Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience of implementing projects within multi-million pound transformational programmes in latest technologies e.g. ERP, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Legacy Integrations 
  • Experience in managing 3rd party vendors and working with outsource partners
  • Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA/Confluence) is essential
  • Strong communication skills to manage teams (including offshore), stakeholders at the appropriate level and build effective working relationships to enable technical discussions with product owners to articulate design solutions or reconfirm requirements
  • Expert knowledge of financial forecasting and budget management, project reporting, MS office
  • Project Methodology qualification is desirable (Prince 2, PMP, Agile Certifications or equivalent)[core prerequisites 2-4]
