Platform Product Manager
Waterloo - Hybrid Working
Permanent
Full Time
Grade 4
At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.
The Product Manager is responsible for helping define and execute the vision and strategy for Currys suite of Returns & Repairs applications. This includes Myriad, our end-to-end repairs management system, Control, our spare parts management ERP system, and several other supporting applications that underpin our returns and repairs platform, and that enables our post-sale customer offer.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
• Owning the product strategy end-to-end, ensuring that every feature and function is worth building
• Embracing the role with a senior leader mindset—when the product succeeds, the whole team wins; if it fails, the buck stops here
• Developing intimate, evidence-based insights through both qualitative interviews and quantitative analytics to understand users’ pains, needs, and behaviors
• Regularly reviewing analytics, A/B test results, and usage metrics to guide the product’s direction, ensuring decisions are backed by data rather than assumptions
• Building a comprehensive understanding of Currys’ business model, financial drivers, and the competitive landscape
• Collaborating with stakeholders from sales, marketing, finance, and operations to shape product choices that align with broader business goals and industry trends
• Acting as both product leader and product owner, working hand in hand with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure rapid, iterative releases that embody innovation and strategic focus
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure that the product backlog is a true reflection of prioritised, high-impact work rather than a collection of requests waiting to be escalated or debated
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive product documentation and training resources, ensuring that all team members and stakeholders understand the product’s capabilities and roadmap
• Regularly communicate progress, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex technical and market details into accessible business insights
As a self-starter with strong leadership qualities, you will collaborate across functions to ensure that every initiative directly contributes to enhancing both the customer experience and business performance.
You will need:
• Deep Customer Orientation - Ability to become the team’s resident expert in customer needs through both qualitative research and data-driven analysis
• Proven comfort with analytics tools and a strong aptitude for transforming raw data into actionable insights
• Strong understanding of how products drive business outcomes, with an ability to synthesise insights about market trends and competitor dynamics.
• A hands-on understanding of modern technologies, enabling meaningful conversations with engineers and designers about what’s technically possible.
• Experienced in agile methodologies, with a proven track record of unifying diverse teams to deliver products that meet high customer and business standards.
