Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial control and accounting across the ROI and B2B operations to a high level of quality and consistency. You will take overall responsibility in these areas for the monthly close processes for both Group and Statutory reporting purposes. This will include the preparation and review of journals, analytical review of monthly results, account reconciliations, and identifying process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort. You will have significant interaction with the Group, Brno and Pune finance teams.

Role overview:

Key Role Responsibilities:
•    Being the owner for the monthly accounting close processes and control environment for the Irish entities and UK&I B2B operations. Includes the timely preparation and review of journals, analytical review of monthly results, account reconciliations, and ensuring the balance sheet is fully understood, reconciled and managed in conjunction with the business;
•    Oversee the year-end audit process for the Irish business and be the main point of contact for external auditors
•    Preparing the statutory financial statements for the Irish trading entities and dealing directly with the auditors on their queries;
•    Develop and drive a culture of financial control and continued improvement. This involves identifying and supporting process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort, and delivering a sound financial control underpinning for the business ensuring accounting processes are robust, comprehensive, and responsive;
•    Lead periodic balance sheet reviews of Ireland business and in the process challenge business partners and balance sheet owners, identifying potential issues, areas of weakness and providing relevant solutions.
•    Work closely with and be the main point of contact for finance in the Shared Service Centre and other financial control teams to ensure the operations are efficient and financial results well controlled;
•    Developing in depth knowledge of the business to facilitate preparation of analytical review for internal and external reporting and ensuring all risks and opportunities are identified and mitigated where required;
•    Work closely with the Group accounting and control team to ensure accounting treatments are in line with relevant accounting standards and consistently applied across the Irish and B2B business;
•    Lead the intervention, investigation and resolution of in-year and short term financial issues.
•    Key involvement in the Group Annual Report and Interim Reports
•    Make recommendations on the implementation of new accounting standards and disclosures across the Ireland, obtaining input from the wider Accounting & Control areas;

•    Systems:Good working knowledge of SAP, Blackline, and HFM preferable.
