The Programme Manager is responsible for leading the iD Mobile Project Management team. The team will support all major transformation initiatives and a mix of programmes, projects and agile delivery pipelines. This role will also be responsible for driving capability improvements across iD Mobile to ensure we continually evolve to be more effective, efficient and innovative at change delivery.

 

iD Mobile is one of the fastest growing MVNOs ever in the UK market. We quickly grew to over 1.6 million subscribers as a disruptive new entrant, levering our unique position as the only network owned by Currys (a FTSE 250 company). iD is one of the main strategic growth opportunities for Currys, underpinning its mobile category.  

 

The MVNO team are at the heart of realising our strategic ambition and plan. This opportunity is for someone with a passion for delivering business value, each time and every time, through the successful execution of technology, people and business process enabled change.


As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for: 
•    Counterpart the Group Delivery Programme Manager to ensure iD efficiently executes the change roadmap
•    Measure and manage transformation delivery effectiveness across the breadth of the portfolio through the application of best practice with defined KPIs
•    Develop a team of capable and committed delivery experts
•    Establish and evolve excellent ways of working with Strategic Partners and suppliers to ensure outcomes are achieved 
•    Specify, establish and embed the change delivery elements of new product/platform operating models as transformational change is delivered 
•    Drive accuracy in demand and capacity planning to ensure delivery expectations are set credibly and inform budgeting and portfolio planning processes
•    Evolve capability and resourcing models to provide greater agility and scalability
•    Anticipate and proactively manage inter and intra portfolio dependencies and risks to ensure there is join up to deliver the strategic outcomes
•    Drive accuracy in financial forecasting across the portfolio, resource utilisation and capitalisation


You will need:
•    A strong track record of change delivery is required with an extensive toolkit of delivery models, methods (Agile, waterfall, hybrid etc.)

•    Effective line management skills with strong experience of coaching, development and performance management

•    To be outcome focused with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with the Executive team and other senior business leaders.

•    To demonstrable results from leading, coaching and motivating teams; leading by example and managing for high performance.

•    To be a problem solver that can apply lateral/creative thinking to overcoming obstacles
