Commercial Manager - 'Sold With' Categories

As Commercial Manager, you will work cross functionally to deliver enhanced propositions and improve the offer for our customers, in a financially positive way for our business.  Leveraging advanced analytical and strategic skills to interpret complex data, you will provide valuable insights and contribute to key decision-making within the Commercial Function.

 

In this role, you will work with all Central functions; cross category within Commercial, Commercial Finance, Selling team, Online, Customer insights, Data & Analytics, Marketing & L&D to facilitate and deliver activity that drives the commercial proposition forward.

 

You will need to be driven by commercial benefit, proactively seeking profit opportunities, efficiencies and continuously seeking improvement.

 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for: 
•    Conducting thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities within the “Sold With” Categories.
•    Analysing sales data and financial performance to provide actionable insights for business improvement.
•    Developing and maintaining forecasting models to support inventory management and buying/sourcing decisions.
•    Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and enhance reporting capabilities, ensuring alignment and commitment to delivery.
•    Evaluating and optimizing pricing strategies, working closely with the Pricing team
•    Implementing data-driven approaches to enhance customer offer 
•    Monitoring the effectiveness of ranges, promotional campaigns, trials, key initiatives 
•    Assisting in budgeting processes


You will need:
•    Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the retail sector.
•    Strong proficiency in data visualization tools and advanced Excel skills.
•    Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•    Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis.
