What is hybrid working?

Hybrid working is the best of both worlds: in-person working and virtual working. It enables both you and your team to give your best while supporting flexibility. We know great things happen when we focus on outcomes and not locations. With the right mix of working options, we can collaborate, connect, build relationships and innovate. That’s a no-brainer in our book.

Of course, for those working in our stores, supply chain and service operations, it’s business as usual.

Our hybrid working policy mainly effects our corporate colleagues – those who’ve worked from offices to support the rest of the team.

Hybrid working arrangements will differ depending on your role and business requirements, in practice, you should expect to spend a proportion of your time working in-person from your primary Currys campus. Your remaining working time may be from an alternative campus or your remote working location (such as your home).

Our main base is the Currys London campus at Waterloo and we also have access to all UK WeWork office spaces To make things easy, we also have other Currys regional workspaces where colleagues can meet and collaborate. These include Birmingham, Bolton, Bristol, Newark, Nottingham, Reading, Staples Corner (North London) and Tottenham Court Road (Central London).

“For us, hybrid simply means working in-person, online and a blend of both. We don’t all need to be in one building to deliver great results for our customers or our colleagues around the business. ”

Paula Coughlan, Chief People, Communications & Sustainability Officer

Meeting-free moments

Golden Hour - For our corporate colleagues at Currys, 1-2pm is a 60 meeting-free minutes to think, plan and re-energise, Monday to Friday.

Wednesday mornings unplugged - Building on Golden Hour this is an extended meeting free zone for corporate colleagues, and we encourage them to have no recurring internal meetings until after 2pm. It’s a time you can catch up on emails and focus on projects without interruptions.
